Chewy Headquarters

We are very proud to be hosting Martin Omander, a Google Developer Advocate (based in Mountain View, CA). He'll be speaking about Microservices with Google Cloud Platform.

Microservices enable development teams to be more agile, but it's hard to break up an existing monolithic application or to run many services. Come to see a time-lapse refactoring of a fictional monolithic web application into decoupled services. An incremental approach and Google Cloud Platform serverless products for hosting, communication, and storage come to the rescue. We will explore how to get started and use best practices for your journey to a low-ops, high-velocity future.

Schedule:

  • 5:30 - 6:30 pm -- Networking/Food Drinks
  • 6:30 - 6:40 pm -- Welcome
  • 6:40 - 7:40 pm -- "Breaking up your monolith app to microservices" by Martin Omander

Hosted by Cesar from GDG Miami
